MyPublicFit ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered career coach focused on government, utility, and public-sector roles. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using MyPublicFit you agree to the practices described here.

• Account info you provide (email, password credentials managed by our auth provider).
• Content you upload or paste (resumes, job descriptions, notes, application details).
• Job preferences and searches (location, salary, job type, saved jobs).
• Usage data (pages visited, interactions, device and browser info, approximate location from IP).
• Communications you send us (support emails, feedback).

Resumes typically contain personal information such as your name, contact details, employment history, education, certifications, and other career details. We use this content to generate the analyses and recommendations you request. You can edit or request deletion of your uploaded resumes at any time.

• Generate AI-powered resume analysis, tailored resumes, cover letters, career roadmaps, interview prep, and job recommendations.
• Match you to relevant public-sector job listings.
• Communicate with you about your account, support requests, and product updates.
• Detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or security issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

MyPublicFit uses third-party AI model providers (such as OpenAI and similar providers accessed through our AI gateway) to generate content from your resume, job descriptions, and prompts. AI-generated content (including tailored resumes, cover letters, roadmaps, interview questions, and recommendations) is created from the inputs you provide. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete — review them before relying on them. We do not sell your content, and we do not authorize AI providers to use your content to train their general-purpose models.

When you search for jobs we send your filters (such as keywords, location, ZIP code, and radius) to public job-listing sources to fetch results. Jobs you save are stored under your account so you can return to them. Clicking through to an external listing takes you to a third-party site governed by its own privacy policy.

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage and Microsoft Clarity to record anonymized session interactions (clicks, scrolls, and navigation) so we can improve the product. We configure Clarity to mask sensitive fields — including resume content, resume editor, account, profile, and AI analysis pages — so user-entered content is not captured in session recordings.

We and our analytics providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve the product. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect functionality such as staying signed in.

• Supabase — authentication, database, and storage hosting.
• OpenAI and other AI model providers — generating AI outputs from your inputs.
• Google Analytics — aggregate usage analytics.
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session recordings and heatmaps.
• Public job-listing sources (e.g., USAJOBS, Adzuna) — returning job search results.
• Stripe — if and when payments are added, Stripe will process payments and handle billing data under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers listed above to operate MyPublicFit, when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect rights and safety. If MyPublicFit is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred subject to this policy.

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Aggregated, de-identified analytics data may be retained longer. You can request deletion of your account and uploaded resumes at any time (see below).

You can edit or remove resumes, applications, and saved jobs from your account. To request deletion of your account and all associated uploaded resumes and data, email mypublicfit@gmail.com. We will process verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and managed infrastructure — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

MyPublicFit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
